Fereshteh Mehrabi
I am a doctoral candidate in the public health program at Université de Montréal. My research interests are broadly frailty, social isolation, and loneliness. More specifically, my dissertation is a longitudinal study that focuses on the effect of social isolation on frailty and health among community-dwelling older adults in Québec, using latent growth models. I am especially interested in looking at frailty as a mediator and moderator on the pathway from social isolation to health outcomes, including disability, chronic diseases, depression, and cognitive decline. I plan to finish my Ph.D. by end of this summer.
