Daniel Schwade Araujo

I started my research career in 2015 at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. My main topic of study is the use of exercise to treat and prevent chronic diseases (i.e.: cardiovascular disease and diabetes) in older adults. Currently, I am in the second year of my MSc. in Kinesiology at the University of Manitoba, where I work in the WARM Hearts study: a prospective cohort study that will recruit 1000 females aged 55 years and older in order to develop a new screening tool to predict adverse cardiovascular events during a 5-year period.
