Vanessa De Rubeis is a second year PhD student at McMaster University in the Health Research Methodology program, working under the supervision of Dr. Laura Anderson. Her research interests are in life-course epidemiology, aging, adversity, and obesity. Vanessa’s thesis will focus on understanding adversity throughout the life-course, including adverse childhood experiences and stress related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and obesity in adulthood. She is interested in learning more about methodologies associated with longitudinal studies, including the use of generalized estimating equations and mixed effects models.
