Carmen Solares Canal

I am a doctoral student at the Marie Skłodowska-Curie EU co-founded PhD program NEWBREED at Örebro University (Sweden). Newbreed is an interdisciplinary research training program. I develop my research as a doctoral student in psychology, within the thematic area of Successful Ageing and psychosocial adjustment. My broad research interest is to understand aging processes for people who have been challenged by mental health problems and adverse social situations throughout their lives. For my doctoral thesis I focus on the study of the mental and physical health of older adults with criminal background I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology (2010) obtained at University of Oviedo, a master’s degree in Neuropsychology (2012) obtained at Salamanca University and, a master’s degree in Cognitive Neurosciences of Language (2014) obtained at the Basque Center on Cognition, Brain and Language (BCBL).
