Sarah Krasniuk

Sarah Krasniuk, PhD, MSc, HBK, is a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the School of Public Health at the University of Saskatchewan. Under the supervision of Dr. Alexander Crizzle, a gerontologist, Sarah is working on multiple research projects that focus on transportation access for older adults or those with disabilities in rural and small communities in Canada. Sarah’s research project aims to use population-based databases (e.g., CCHS, CLSA) to examine changes in health leading to driving cessation and the health indicators in those with vs without access to transportation following driving cessation, while controlling for age or gender. Findings from the research project may inform the development of sustainable transportation plans/support to improve the mobility and wellbeing of small and rural communities across Canada.
