Ali Ammar

I am currently in my first year of the Ph.D. program in the School of Biomedical Engineering at McMaster University. My research project is directly focused on aging and looks at creating a tool to aid and guide the diagnosis of osteoporosis. Ultimately, the tool will use medical images and patient information from longitudinal databases to predict hip fracture risk in osteoporotic patients. Ultimately, giving clinicians a better indication of fracture risk and being able to prevent fractures from occurring.
